Management Station

Our network management stations consist of a Sun SunBlade 1000 running SunOS 5.8 with Aprisma Spectrum for monitoring. Our statistics are collected/presented by a Dell 1650 running Linux and archived to a Dell 4600 running Linux and MySQL.

Cacti Stats	Statistics for: Ascend (56k) Usage Reports -- Usage information on our 56K dialin string. General Firewall Usage -- UB Firewall usage graphs. Passport Temperatures	System temperatures on OSS-supported passports.
Network Status Information
Device Information By IP	A current view of a device information, including modules, ports, and vlan info.
Monitored Devices	Current and historical inventory of network devices monitored by UB's network management system, Spectrum.
SNMP Check	Check whether your device's SNMP service is correctly configured.
SPECTRUM Web Operator	View monitored network devices that are currently alarming. User name: Guest, Password: guest. Case Matters!

UB Multicast Beacons	Displays multicast connectivity statistics between UB beacons.
ANL Access Grid Beacons	Displays multicast connectivity statistics between Access Grid beacons.
Device VLAN Bleed Check	Real-time tool to check a specific IP for potential VLAN bleeds.
VLAN Bleed Report	Displays potential VLAN bleeds on the network - collected daily at 12:01am
Disabled Ports Report	Displays ports that have been disabled - collected daily at 12:01am

Port Activity Reports	Display selection of port activity, audit, and reconciliation reports.

Remote Access Stats
Ascend (56k) Usage Reports	This report provides usage information on our 56K dialin string.
Radius Server Logs	Run reports against the RADIUS log files. RADIUS is used to authenticate users of UB's Dialin Service. Username/Password protected.
VPN Server	This will provide info on Remote Access Sessions,Traffic Level, and CPU Utilization of VPN Server.
UPS Stats
UPS Usage	This page shows some stats on the health of the various UPS (uninterruptable power supply) units.
Campus-wide DHCP Usage
Used DHCP Leases Over Time	Campus-wide DHCP server v. 3.0: Graphs of Used DHCP Leases Over Time (Excludes ResNet and OpenPort DHCP leases).
Abandoned DHCP Leases Over Time	Campus-wide DHCP server v. 3.0: Graphs of Abandoned DHCP Leases Over Time (Excludes ResNet and OpenPort DHCP leases).

North/South/Off Campus Wireless	This page shows some stats on the Bandwith utilization and Associations of some of the wireless access points.
ResNet, OpenPort, General FireWall and DHCP Stats
ResNet FireWall and DHCP Usage	UB ResNet Cloud FireWall and DHCP usage graphs (authenticated FireWall clients and DHCP leases).
OpenPort FireWall and DHCP Usage	UB OpenPort Network Cloud FireWall and DHCP usage graphs (authenticated FireWall clients and DHCP leases).
General FireWall Usage	UB FireWall usage graphs. These firewalls are department specific typically.
FireWall Logs	Run reports against the FW-1 Authentication log records. FW-1 is used to authenticate users of UB's ResNet and OpenPort networks. Username/Password protected.
FireWall Deactivation Tool	Allows you to view/deactivate any connections through the ResNet and OpenPort firewalls for a particular user. Username/Password protected.
FireWall User Management Tool	Allows you to add/remove users on firewalls that you manage Username/Password protected.
Radius User Management Tool	Allows you to add/remove users from huntgroups that you manage Username/Password protected.
CIT VPN Backup Tool	Allows you to schedule a backup of the primary VPN CIT server Username/Password protected.
Router Stats
MAC to IP Address Mapping	This report shows who is using IP addresses over time by linking MAC addresses to IP addresses.
Subnet Sweep	How well-utilized is your subnet?
OSI Layer 2 Stats
Layer 2 Device Poll	This report shows which MAC addresses are currently being served by UB's OSI Layer 2 devices. Username/Password protected; available to MAPS group members.
Layer 2 Traceroute	This report attempts to discover a device's physical location based on its IP address. Username/Password protected; available to MAPS group members.
